Born in 2001, in Johannesburg South Africa I draw inspiration from varying sources

and the media. I am drawn to rich compositions and plays on scale and distortion of

perspective. I love the interplay of colour and rich texture.in work, created by layers of

colour, depth or richness of line. I dreamed of being a curator, but life had other plans

for me i now work a corporate job in the financial industry, i still practise on the side

and stay enamoured in my work. I try to remain authentic and my work centres

around introspection, the interrogation of self, the analysis of mindscapes, perception

of self and merely existing in this odd world. My works are simple in medium and

subject matter but speak to larger and intangible concepts such as

‘

emotion’

discovering art through the lens of personal experience. My works are not necessarily

representational and they are not set or situated in any particular manner or context,

the viewer is able to create their own story through the visceral experience of shape,

line and colour. This season of my work is situated in black inks with rich abstract

forms and lines that are intended to draw the viewer in and interrogate their confusion

and be taken on an experience or form one on their own, this leaves every person that

engages my work has an entirely different experience that is free from any

preconceived notions.
