

Blessing Tshifularo, known as bleee.t, is a 21-year-old South African bassist and musician shaping a sound that blends alternative, indie, dream pop, folk, funk, and disco - as well as traditional Maskandi grooves - all grounded by the bass guitar. Their musical journey began at 14 with classical guitar before they found their voice in bass at 17. A year later, at 18, they began performing live - and they've been moving with purpose ever since.
In just a few years, bleee.t has performed at over 40 shows, including standout sets at Homecoming Festival, House of Vans, Basha Uhuru, Kids Love Jazz, Soundcheck by Narowbi Events, and MTN Bushfire Festival in Eswatini.
Their performances have also reached Lesotho, Cape Town, and Durban, steadily building a presence across Southern Africa.
As a gigging bassist, bleee.t has become a go-to collaborator, playing alongside artists like Bylwansta, Babble Hume, Vuyo Viwe, and Kayla The Crow. They also recently joined the band CLUB VALLEY, marking a new chapter in their growing career.
Beyond session work, bleeet has brought their solo work to intimate stages such as Your Weekly Touch Up, Mango Farm, and Untitled Basement Alley, Songage, and the Artistry X Nudie jeans launch. sharing lineups with acts like Kujenga and Internet Athi. As well as finding where fashion meets funk, through collaborations with clothing brands like Levi's Haus of Strauss as well as Judie jeans.
Their sound is atmospheric and grounded - dreamy vocals wrapped around bass-driven arrangements that feel both nostalgic and fresh. Think Hope Sandoval and Angel Olsen meets 70s funk and South African grooves. Whether backing others or leading their own set, bleeet plays with emotional depth and clarity, letting the bass speak as much as the lyrics.
